Turf Replacement: Notice to Bidders


Sealed bids will be received by the Board of Education of the Ashland City School District until 12:00 pm on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 for the Ashland High School Stadium, Turf Replacement Project at the Ashland High School located at 1440 King Road, Ashland, Ohio, 44805.  Sealed bids shall be delivered to Mr. Robert Knabe, Business Manager, located at the Ashland City School District Board Office, 1407 Claremont Avenue, Ashland, Ohio 44805.  The bids will be publicly opened and read.

Sealed bids will be received for the General Construction Contract. The probable contract cost for the base bid construction contract is $ 400,000.  Bids shall include all labor, materials, equipment, special tools, and services required to complete the work in accordance with the contract documents.

Each proposal shall contain the name of every person interested therein.  Each proposal shall meet the regulations of Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty in the form of either a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond for the full amount of the bid (including add alternates) or a certified check, cashier’s check, or an irrevocable letter of credit in an amount equal to 10% of the bid amount (including add alternates), in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.

No bids may be withdrawn within sixty (60) days after the bid opening.  The Ashland City School District, Board of Education reserves the right to waive irregularities in bids, to reject any or all bids, and to conduct such review as necessary to determine the responsibility of any bidder submitting a bid for the Project.
