Workers have removed trees from the middle school and elementary school sites. Meanwhile, another crew has started constructing the entrance drive from East Main Street to the elementary school site. This drive will be used for construction traffic and eventually for school buses.
On April 3, Ashland City Schools opened the bids for construction of the new auditorium and main entrance at Ashland High School. The apparent low bidder is Mid American Construction, LLC, with a bid of $4,484,500. This includes the base bid and both of the items identified as "alternates" in the bid package.
Ashland City Schools will add 30 minutes to the school day beginning March 26 for 33 school days, continuing through May 16. The start time will remain the same, and dismissal will be 30 minutes later.
The new time schedule is as follows:
|High School||7:45 AM - 3:05 PM|
|Middle School||7:40 AM - 2:55 PM|
|Edison & Taft||8:25 AM - 3:35 PM|
|Montgomery & Osborn||8:40 AM - 3:50 PM|

Families and Friends of Ashland City Schools,
Welcome to the 2013-14 school year! I am sure this will be an exciting year for our students to experience a variety of endeavors in Academics, Arts and Athletics! Each year I enjoy greeting our students as they walk into our buildings on opening day. As we begin this academic year, our children have shown great enthusiasm for the challenges that a new year brings. We know our parents also play an important role in helping their children with this transition. Thank you parents!!
